Role Overview – Client Data & Operations
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving operational problems, and interacting with clients.
You will handle reporting, data audits, controls, and client communication. The work is highly analytical and involves validating cost data, stock movements, and variances — similar to accounting and cost-control processes used in finance and operations teams.
You'll play a key role in helping clients run more efficiently using Barometer MATS.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Reporting- Audit and validate client inventory, consumption, and costing data regularly.
- Analyse data to identify trends, inefficiencies, variances, and operational gaps.
- Build and publish detailed reports and dashboards using Barometer MATS + Excel/Google Sheets.
- Highlight red flags, operational risks, and actionable insights for clients.
Client Management- Act as the primary point of contact for client reporting and support.
- Troubleshoot issues, guide users, and ensure smooth adoption of Barometer's software.
- Train chefs, managers, and store teams on stock-entry, recipe management, and operational controls.
Operational Controls- Conduct digital and on-ground stock audits.
- Verify recipe costing, wastage entries, spoilage logs, and variance reports.
- Recommend best practices to improve cost control and reduce wastage.
Internal Coordination- Work closely with our tech and product teams to report issues and enhancements.
- Provide structured feedback and documentation for product improvements.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills- Strong understanding of Excel/Google Sheets (lookups, pivots, advanced formulas, data cleaning).
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills — comfortable working with large data sets.
- Good understanding of software systems (ERP, POS, inventory tools, or similar workflows).
- Strong communication skills — English speaking and writing proficiency.
- Ability to break down operational problems using logic and data.
- Comfortable being client-facing and taking ownership of deliverables.
Nice to Have- Experience with inventory, ERP, or business management tools (Tally, SAP, POS systems, etc.).
- Background in accounting, cost accounting, MIS reporting, financial audits, or operations audits.
- Understanding of cost sheets, variance analysis, recipe costing, yield control, spoilage logs, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience validating financial or operational data for accuracy and completeness.
- Exposure to F&B operations, hospitality analytics, or controls is a strong plus.
