Operations Manager – Singapore
Role Overview
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily business operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability across departments. This role focuses on process optimization, team leadership, and strategic execution to support business growth.
1. Operational Management & Execution
- Oversee and manage end-to-end daily operations to ensure smooth workflow across all departments
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence across teams
- Monitor operational performance through KPIs, SLAs, and dashboards
- Ensure optimal resource allocation (manpower, equipment, budgets)
- Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions promptly
2. Process Improvement & Optimization
- Continuously evaluate processes to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency
- Lead automation and digital transformation initiatives where applicable
- Implement Lean / Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement
- Reduce turnaround time (TAT) and improve service delivery standards
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
3. Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews
- Drive employee engagement, motivation, and retention strategies
- Identify training needs and ensure skill development programs are implemented
- Handle conflict resolution and maintain a positive work environment
4. Financial Planning & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage operational budgets and forecasts
- Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to financial targets
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Analyze financial reports to improve profitability and efficiency
- Work closely with finance teams on audits and financial compliance
5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Sales, IT) for seamless operations
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and third-party partners
- Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective procurement
- Ensure service delivery meets agreed contractual obligations
6. Compliance, Risk & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements, labor laws, and industry standards
- Implement and monitor risk management frameworks
- Maintain workplace health, safety, and quality standards
- Conduct internal audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented
7. Strategic Planning & Business Growth
- Support leadership in strategic planning and decision-making
- Identify opportunities for business expansion and operational scaling
- Align operational goals with overall business objectives
- Track market trends and competitor activities to refine strategies
8. Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Prepare and present monthly/quarterly performance reports
- Analyze operational data to generate actionable insights
- Track KPIs and recommend improvements to senior management
- Use tools like dashboards and MIS reports for data-driven decision-making
9. Customer Experience & Service Delivery
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
- Address escalations and resolve operational issues efficiently
- Improve customer journey through process enhancements
- Maintain service standards aligned with company expectations
