Job Description

Operations Manager – GV India

Location: Hyderabad, India (On-site)

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Direct Reports: Department Leads (Design, Procurement, Project Management, Finance Coordination, Admin/Support)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly disciplined and execution-focused Operations Manager to lead our India office and oversee the day-to-day functioning of all departments.

This role is responsible for ensuring that daily operations run efficiently, teams are aligned on priorities, and deliverables are executed with consistency and accountability across all functions.

The Operations Manager will act as the central point of execution in India—bridging global leadership (USA/Canada) with local teams—ensuring that direction is translated into structured, on-time output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage department leads and clarify expectations
  • Hold teams accountable for deadlines, quality, and responsiveness
  • Address performance gaps and enforce corrective actions

  • Decision-Making & Escalation Handling
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues
  • Make timely decisions to keep work progressing
  • Resolve cross-functional conflicts independently
  • Escalate critical risks when necessary
  • Prioritization & Workload Management
  • Align teams on daily and weekly priorities
  • Reallocate resources based on workload demands
  • Ensure focus on high-impact work
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Drive collaboration between Design, Procurement, and Project Management teams
  • Maintain alignment between design, costing, and execution
  • Ensure smooth and structured handoffs between departments
  • Process Enforcement & Discipline
  • Enforce SOPs, workflows, and documentation standards
  • Maintain consistency in file management and reporting
  • Eliminate process deviations
  • Global Coordination
  • Act as liaison between India and USA/Canada teams
  • Ensure global directives are executed effectively
  • Maintain clear communication across time zones
  • Productivity & Performance Monitoring
  • Track team productivity and output
  • Identify inefficiencies and delays early
  • Ensure effective utilization of work hours
  • Meetings & Communication
  • Lead internal meetings with focus and efficiency
  • Standardize communication across teams
  • Systems & Tools Compliance
  • Ensure ERP and tracking systems are used correctly
  • Enforce Google Drive and file structure discipline
  • Reporting & Visibility
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO
  • Proactively highlight risks and delays
  • Office & Administrative Oversight
  • Oversee administrative and support functions
  • Ensure smooth functioning of operational infrastructure
  • Execution Validation
  • Verify that reported progress aligns with actual on-ground execution
  • Identify gaps between reported status and real progress
  • Escalation & Dependency Management
  • Escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders and track resolution
  • Follow up on pending approvals and required inputs from USA/Canada teams
  • Proactively identify and mitigate delays caused by dependencies
  • Structured Reporting
  • Maintain clear and standardized reporting on progress, risks, and issues
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates for all stakeholders
  • Provide actionable insights to support decision-making

Qualifications & Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in operations, project management, or leadership roles
  • Proven experience managing multi-department teams
  • Experience working with global teams is preferred
  • Background in design, manufacturing, or procurement is a plus
