Meriya Petroleum Products Pvt Ltd is a privately owned LPG bottling and marketing company based in Kerala, India. As a sister concern of the Meriya Group, the company leverages more than a decade of expertise in the complex processes of storing, bottling, and handling Liquefied Petroleum Gas. Meriya Petroleum Products operates a modern plant capable of handling a wide range of cylinders for domestic, commercial, and industrial applications. Meriya Petroleum is a major supply chain partner to Maharatna companies such as Bharat Petroleum and Indian Oil Corporation

Role Description The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day plant operations, including LPG bottling, storage, and cylinder handling, to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards. This full-time, on-site role in Kerala, India involves managing production schedules, coordinating with supply chain and logistics teams, and optimizing resource utilization to meet business targets. The Operations Manager will lead and mentor operational staff, implement process improvements, and monitor key performance indicators related to efficiency, safety, and customer service. The role also includes collaborating with maintenance teams to minimize downtime, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, supporting audits, statutory compliances and inspections. Additionally, the Operations Manager will contribute to strategic planning, risk management, and communication with senior leadership on operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong operations management and production planning skills, with experience in managing plant workflows and optimizing processes.
  • Candidates should have a mechanical/chemical engineering background with experience, preferably in the petroleum sector.
  • Candidates should possess skills in safety management and regulatory compliance, particularly in handling hazardous materials such as LPG.
  • Candidates should possess team leadership, people management, and performance supervision skills to guide and develop operational staff.
  • Candidates should possess skills in logistics coordination and inventory management, including cylinder movement, storage, and distribution.
  • Candidates should possess analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to address operational issues and improve efficiency.
  • Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • A relevant bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, or a related field is preferred; experience in LPG, oil & gas, or industrial manufacturing is highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, basic computer proficiency (MS Office, ERP tools), and willingness to work on-site in Kerala, India are essential.
