Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai for the position of Operations Manager- IT Services. The Operations Manager will lead and manage IT operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and smooth management of day-to-day processes. Key responsibilities include supervising IT systems, driving operational strategies, overseeing technical support services, ensuring compliance with industry best practices, and managing service delivery standards. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize IT infrastructure, troubleshoot challenges, and align operations with the overall business goals.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage day-to-day operations across delivery, support, and internal functions.

Develop and implement operational frameworks, policies, and SOPs to improve efficiency and productivity.

Collaborate with the leadership team on annual operational plans, resource forecasting, and capacity management.

Ensure seamless coordination between delivery, sales, HR, finance, customer success, and project teams.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives -process automation, efficiency programs, and cost optimization.

Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and outsourcing strategies when required.

Support pre-sales and onboarding by aligning delivery processes and capacity planning for new client engagements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering / computer science / business; MBA preferred

7+ years of experience in IT services operations, delivery leadership, or PMO roles

Proven ability to scale delivery operations and establish operational processes

Strong experience in resource planning, financial management, and risk management

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with CXO-level stakeholders

Experience working with global clients across multi-time-zone delivery models

Knowledge of Data Analytics / Cloud / AI / Digital Transformation services is a plus

Exposure to ISO / SOC / GDPR / ITIL compliance and governance standards is a plus
