Job Description: Operations Manager, Insurance

Experience Level: 8-15 Yrs

Location: Mumbai

Management

  • Foster a collaborative and customer-centric culture that empowers employees to deliver outstanding service.
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments to align operations with overall company goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to understand their needs and provide insights to enhance service delivery.
  • Assist in creating and managing the budget for the operations team, optimizing resources for maximum efficiency

Operational Excellence

  • Identifying and implementing improvements to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance productivity across various Insurance Ops processes/products (As Corporate Agent & other business lines) .
  • Driving Insurance Operations in line with the regulatory requirements wherever it needs to be.
  • Set and monitor operational goals, KPIs, and performance metrics to ensure optimal team performance and efficiency.
  • Implement strategies to improve key metrics, Transactional Reconciliation, Commission Invoicing and dispute resolution.
  • Drive process improvement and automation activities/projects to improve efficiency of operations and business performance.
  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies within the operations team and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance Insurance Operations service delivery.

Experience

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 8-15 years of proven experience in Operations, including 3+ years in a team management role.
  • Exposure to Insurance businesses/Ops processes such as General, Health & Life Insurance including regulatory audits and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Insurance Operations, Compliance, Regulator Audits & Reporting.
  • Excellent relationship management with Partners & Insurance companies.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Proven experience in process improvement, change management, and project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and executive presence, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and senior executives.
