Role Overview
Resource will lead the transformation of wealth and alternative investment operations through the strategic application of agentic AI and intelligent automation. You will serve as the connective tissue between client needs, domain expertise, and next-generation AI-powered solutions — driving outcomes that go beyond incremental improvement toward genuine operational reinvention.
Responsibilities
AI-Driven Transformation Leadership
- Define and own the vision and roadmap for operations transformation, with a strong lens on agentic AI adoption — deploying autonomous AI agents to handle complex, multi-step workflows in private equity, alternative investments, and portfolio services
- Identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities to replace or augment manual processes with AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, and intelligent decision-support systems
- Champion a transformation mindset across the team — shifting from process optimization to process reinvention through AI
Client Partnership & Solution Design
- Partner closely with clients to uncover operational pain points, translating them into AI-augmented solution blueprints that are practical, scalable, and measurable
- Scope and structure engagements that leverage agentic AI for tasks such as automated reconciliation, document intelligence, compliance monitoring, and portfolio data processing
- Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate the organizational and cultural shifts that come with human-AI collaborative operating models
Operational Excellence & Intelligence
- Bring financial operational acumen to bridge Investment Operations teams, internal Research & IT, and external Investment Management firms — with a focus on AI-enabled straight-through processing
- Define and evolve AI-augmented quality assurance frameworks, including automated audit trails, anomaly detection, and continuous control monitoring
- Lead root cause analysis for operational issues, designing corrective action plans that leverage AI agents for monitoring and prevention — minimizing escalations to senior leadership
Process Engineering for the Agentic Era
- Develop deep understanding of E2E wealth management processes (trade lifecycle, NAV processing, corporate actions, client reporting) and systematically identify where autonomous agents can take over routine decision-making
- Design human-in-the-loop workflows that balance AI autonomy with appropriate oversight, ensuring explainability and auditability in regulated environments
- Drive measurable KPIs around AI adoption: straight-through processing rates, exception reduction, cycle time compression, and cost-per-transaction improvements
Leadership & Judgment
- Demonstrate sound judgment in deploying AI capabilities responsibly — balancing innovation velocity with risk, compliance, and ethical AI principles
- Lead with integrity and operate with discretion when handling sensitive client data in AI-powered environments
- Build and mentor a team fluent in both operations domain knowledge and AI tooling and workflows
Qualifications
Domain & Experience
- 14+ years of experience in wealth management or investment operations, with hands-on expertise in alternative investments and portfolio services
- Prior experience as a process or operations manager in investment operations, ideally with exposure to digital transformation or automation initiatives
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply financial documents, investment terminology, and operational frameworks
AI & Transformation Fluency
- Working knowledge of agentic AI concepts — including autonomous agents, LLM-based workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, or equivalent)
- Ability to engage technically credible conversations with AI/ML engineers while translating outcomes into business value for client stakeholders
- Experience evaluating or deploying AI tools in financial operations (e.g., intelligent document processing, automated reconciliation, conversational AI for ops teams) is a strong plus
Client & Stakeholder Excellence
- Proven track record serving high-profile institutional clients, with the gravitas to represent the firm at senior levels
- Skilled at aligning internal leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders around transformation roadmaps that include AI adoption
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex AI-driven concepts accessible to non-technical audiences
