Job Summary
Gatim is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Operations Manager to oversee and manage end-to-end operations of our garments manufacturing unit. The role focuses on production planning, process optimization, quality control, supply chain coordination, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations including cutting, stitching, finishing, and dispatch
- Plan and monitor production schedules to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Coordinate with merchandising, sourcing, quality, and logistics teams
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, buyer specifications, and compliance norms
- Monitor inventory of raw materials, trims, and finished goods
- Optimize manpower utilization and improve shop-floor productivity
- Implement process improvements to reduce cost, wastage, and operational delay
- Manage vendor coordination and outsourced production units, if applicable
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, factory safety standards, and statutory regulations
- Prepare and present MIS reports, operational dashboards, and performance metrics to management
- Identify and resolve operational challenges proactively

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Production Management, or a related field
- MBA / Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage
Experience
- 35 years of relevant experience in operations or production management within the garments/apparel industry
- Experience in handling export and/or domestic production is preferred
Working Conditions
- Full-time, on-site role at Gatim's manufacturing facility
- May require coordination with vendors and external partners
