About the Role:
We are looking for a high-impact Operations Manager to join our founding leadership team and build a scalable operations engine for a fast-growing consumer products company.
This role will own end-to-end operational execution across manufacturing, assembly, production planning, contract manufacturing management, process excellence, productivity improvement, and operational scalability.
As one of the earliest operations leaders in the company, you will be responsible for creating systems, processes, KPIs, and operating rhythms that support rapid business growth while maintaining high levels of efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and has experience scaling operations within leading consumer products, manufacturing, retail, D2C, or consumer durables businesses.
Key & Production Operations
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing and operational activities.
- Build scalable production planning and execution processes.
- Ensure production targets are achieved consistently.
- Manage relationships with manufacturing partners and vendors.
- Improve throughput, efficiency, and operational reliability.
- Support capacity planning and future growth requirements.
Operational Excellence
- Establish operational KPIs, dashboards, and governance mechanisms.
- Identify process bottlenecks and drive improvement initiatives.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Standardize operating procedures across facilities and partners.
- Improve productivity and reduce operational inefficiencies.
Capacity Planning & Scalability
- Develop capacity plans aligned with business growth projections.
- Ensure operational readiness for new product launches.
- Build scalable processes capable of supporting 5x10x growth.
- Improve resource utilization and operational flexibility.
Cost Optimization
- Drive operational cost reduction initiatives.
- Improve manufacturing productivity and efficiency.
- Optimize manpower, machine utilization, and process performance.
- Monitor operational budgets and identify savings opportunities.
- Reduce wastage, rework, and non-value-added activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Product, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
- Ensure seamless coordination between planning and execution.
- Support new product development and launch activities.
- Participate in business planning and growth discussions.
Process & Systems Development
- Build operational SOPs and process frameworks from the ground up.
- Establish performance measurement systems.
- Introduce technology, automation, and process controls where appropriate.
- Develop scalable operating models that support business expansion.
Team Building & Leadership
- Build and develop the operations function.
- Hire, mentor, and manage high-performing operations teams.
- Create accountability, ownership, and performance-driven culture.
- Develop future leaders within the organization.

Candidate Profile
Must-Have Experience:
- 8-12 years of experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Production, or Plant Management roles.
- Strong experience in consumer products, consumer durables, manufacturing, retail, or D2C businesses.
- Proven track record of scaling operations and improving productivity.
- Experience managing manufacturing partners or production facilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working in high-growth and fast-paced environments.
