About the Role

The Operations Manager (Fintech) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's day-to-day operational processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and scalability. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, including product, finance, risk, compliance, and customer success, to streamline operations, manage risks, and support business growth in a highly regulated fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Strategy & Process Management

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to support business objectives.
  • Design, document, and optimize processes across departments to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements using best practices and automation tools.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Manage and mentor operations staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of projects and initiatives.

3. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all operational activities comply with relevant fintech regulations (e.g., KYC/AML, PCI-DSS, data privacy).
  • Support internal and external audits, maintaining accurate operational documentation.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the business.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and third-party partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and performance expectations to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address service-level issues proactively.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track operational KPIs such as processing times, transaction accuracy, and service levels.
  • Prepare regular reports for leadership on operational efficiency, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Use data and insights to recommend strategies for process optimization and scalability.

Project & Change Management

  • Lead operational projects, including system upgrades, process automation, and product rollouts.
  • Collaborate with IT, product, and compliance teams to ensure smooth implementation of operational changes.
  • Drive adoption of new tools, workflows, and technology solutions within the operations team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or related field.
  • 5+ years of operations management or operations leadership experience, preferably in fintech, banking, or financial services.
