As we prepare for launch and rapid scale, we seek an Operations Manager who thrives on building exceptional systems, developing teams, and translating innovative formulations into market success.

Role Purpose

As Operations Manager, you will lead the complete operational strategy, owning manufacturing development, supply chain build-out, and production scale-up. You will act as a commercial architect, driving transformation from bench validation to consumer-ready products, collaborating with founders, R&D, supply partners, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

1) Manufacturing & Validation

  • Drive the identification, negotiation, and onboarding of best-in-class contract manufacturers and packaging partners.
  • Ensure flawless tech transfer, pilot batch validation, stability trials, and compliant scale-up of all formulations.
  • Build strong QC frameworks in partnership with technical and regulatory teams.

2) Supply Chain Leadership

  • Architect the supply chain, securing raw materials, active ingredients, and packaging components for both launches and evergreen SKUs.
  • Design procurement processes to balance cost efficiency, premium quality, and agility.
  • Manage all vendor relationships, contracts, MOQs, and key ingredients sourcing and supply KPIs.

3) Production & Quality Excellence

  • Develop and monitor optimized, on-time production lines for multi-SKU launches.
  • Implement batch tracking, traceability, and continuous improvement metrics at each manufacturing site.
  • Diagnose and resolve production challenges, proactively and in collaboration.

4) Cross-Functional & Commercial Sync

  • Work with Finance on budgets, costing, vendor payments, and margin optimization.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Commercial teams to ensure smooth new product introductions and promotional execution.
  • Liaise with Regulator/ QA for product registrations, compliance audits, and documentation.

5) Systems, Scale & Continuous Growth

  • Own the design and rollout of SOPs, production dashboards, and operational reporting for all major workflows.
  • Launch process improvement projects, targeting speed, cost, waste, and resilience.
  • Champion a culture of quality, agility, and transparency across teams.

6) Launch Operations & Marketplace Readiness

  • Lead operational readiness for multi-channel launches (D2C, marketplaces, retail) including packaging, fulfillment, and go-live logistics.
  • Ensure supply chain and manufacturing can support rapid scaling for hero launches and new category introductions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5-7 years experience in operations for beauty, personal care, luxury FMCG, or premium retail; deep exposure to contract manufacturing and scaling new product launches.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building end-to-end supply chains and high-performance vendor ecosystems.
  • Strategic thinker, hands-on problem solver, and strong process developer.
  • Highly effective negotiator, trusted communicator, and team builder.
  • Experience with omni-channel (D2C + retail/marketplace) products launches a distinct advantage.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset,thrives in fast-paced, founder-led startups.
