Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a background in the jewellery industry, preferably in lab-grown or fine diamond jewellery. This critical role involves overseeing all non-sales aspects of our operations, from supply chain and manufacturing coordination to inventory management and retail support, ensuring seamless efficiency and maintaining our high standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Coordination
- Coordinate between the design team, external vendors, and internal karigars (craftsmen) to ensure timely and quality production of all jewellery pieces.
- Monitor production schedules, resolving bottlenecks and ensuring adherence to strict quality control standards for metal purity, stone setting, and finishing.
- Manage the movement and security of raw materials (gold, diamonds, precious stones) within the production cycle.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing & ensure timely product availability
- Align with finance teams for billing timelines & budget adherence
- Ensure all vendors and stake holders are adhering to the accepted timelines & agreements.
Supply Chain & Logistics
- Manage the end-to-end logistics process, including secure domestic and international shipping, customs clearance, and insurance of high-value goods.
Inventory & Security Management- Lead the physical and system-based inventory process, ensuring 100% accuracy of stock at all times across all locations (vaults, display, consignment, and under production).
- Implement and enforce stringent security protocols for the storage, handling, and transit of all high-value assets.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliation of physical stock against the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Process & System Optimization- Identify operational weaknesses and propose/implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
- Oversee the effective use of the company's ERP system (or relevant operations software) for inventory, production tracking, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, hallmarking standards, and internal policies.
Retail & Sales Support- Coordinate with the retail team on new collection launches, ensuring timely delivery of stock and display materials.
- Manage the repair and returns process, guaranteeing quick turnaround times and maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Provide operational training and support to retail staff on inventory systems and internal procedures.
Qualifications
- 24 years of experience in the jewellery industry
- Strong attention to detail & a data-driven approach
- Ability to manage multiple store locations
- Ability to understand and grasp regional nuances and specifications
- Strong communication & vendor negotiation skills

- Experience working in D2C or e-commerce focused jewellery brands.
- Understanding of sustainability practices in supply chains.
