About the Role:
We're looking for an Operations Lead who can own the execution, delivery, and operational backbone of our playtesting and player insight programs.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you will:
- Run the full delivery engine end-to-end,
- Optimize cost structures,
- Partner with Product, Research, and Recruitment teams,and ensure every client project lands with quality, speed, and operational discipline.
A strong background in playtesting ops is ideal, but we're also open to high-performing Indian PMs/Ops leaders from fast-paced environments who can learn quickly and build systems from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Own Playtest Delivery End-to-End
- Lead the full lifecycle: scoping planning scheduling recruitment execution reporting delivery.
- Ensure projects ship on time, on budget, and at world-class quality standards.
Optimize Recruitment Costs (PAC)
- Continuously analyze where money is being spent across channels.
- Improve ROI by fine-tuning paid ads, community funnels, and incentive strategies.
- Reduce cost per player while maintaining player quality.
Manage Player Panel Health
- Forecast supply/demand based on upcoming project load.
- Run engagement and retention initiatives to reduce reliance on fresh acquisition.
- Maintain a healthy, diverse, and reliable player pool across genres and regions.
Oversee Global Payout & Incentive Systems
- Build and maintain robust payout workflows that are fast, compliant, and player-friendly.
- Manage financial controls to ensure smooth global incentive distribution.
Bridge Research, Ops & Clients
- Translate research needs into actionable plans with clear budgets, timelines, and delivery metrics.
- Support pre-sales with operational models, feasibility inputs, and cost estimates.
- Act as the go-to delivery contact for clients during active projects.
Build Operational Excellence
- Develop cost models, forecasting tools, and dashboards to support strategic decisions.
- Allocate resources smartly people, budgets, tools to maximize ROI and delivery quality.
- Mentor junior team members and strengthen operational workflows across the org.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years in operations, with strong exposure to cost optimization or budget management.
- Proven experience analyzing acquisition spend, measuring ROI, and improving efficiency.
- Strong project management skills comfortable running multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Experience managing incentives/payouts across markets (India or global).
- Hands-on with cost modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision making.
- Strong communicator who can align clients, internal teams, and project stakeholders.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, remote-first environments you thrive in ambiguity.
Nice-to-Have;
- Prior exposure to playtesting, gamer recruitment, or player insights.
- Experience working with gaming teams or presenting operational frameworks in gaming forums.
- Familiarity with tools like Notion, Trello, CRM systems, payout platforms, and analytics tools.
