About Posha
Posha is building the world's most advanced automated cooking robot — a mechatronic consumer appliance that combines precision hardware engineering with AI to cook real meals, hands-free. We're a fast-moving startup scaling from early adopters to mass market, which means every team member owns a lot and moves fast. If you like building things from scratch and want to be at the center of a hardware + software product that's genuinely changing how people cook, this is your role.
Role Overview
We're looking for a sharp, eager Operations Intern to get hands-on experience across Posha's global supply chain, logistics, and after-sales operations. You'll be based in Bengaluru but will work across time zones — coordinating with teams and vendors in the US, China, and India. This is a real work internship — you'll be doing actual ops work from week one, not sitting in on calls and making decks.
What You'll Own
Global Logistics Management
- Own end-to-end logistics for Posha hardware, spares, and R&D shipments across China, India, and the USA — both international and domestic.
- Coordinate shipment dispatch, maintain tracking logs, and ensure every shipment is accounted for from pickup to delivery.
- Manage freight issues as they arise — including filing claims, tracking lost or damaged shipments, and resolving disputes with carriers.
- Handle all customs and import/export documentation: HTS/HSN codes, commercial invoices, packing lists, and any other compliance paperwork across the India–USA–China corridor.
- Source and compare carrier and freight rates to choose the right shipping option per shipment type, balancing cost, speed, and reliability.
- Coordinate outbound device shipments for press, influencers, or internal use — handling logistics, tracking, and retrieval where applicable.
- Proactively troubleshoot delays, compliance issues, or cost overruns — and fix them fast.
Field Repairs & After-Sales Ops
- Act on customer support tickets that require physical repairs or device replacements, working closely with the CX team to understand the customer's issue end-to-end.
- Be the operational backbone for field escalations — ensuring the right part, technician, or device reaches the right customer at the right time.
- Log and track damaged parts & returned devices through the RMA process, coordinate refurbishment status, and close the loop with the R&D team for RCA as well as the CX team on resolution.
- Keep an up-to-date record of where every Posha device is at any given time — with customers, field technicians, in transit, in refurbishment, or in warehouse stock.
- Develop a strong technical understanding of the Posha device so you can make smart, fast decisions on the ground.
Freelance Technician Network (US)
- Source, pitch, onboard, and manage a network of freelance field technicians across the United States — including in smaller markets and underserved geographies.
- Be the point of contact for these technicians — this role requires a minimum of 3 hours of work in US time zones daily.
- Ensure quality of service and maintain strong relationships with the technician network.
3PL & Fulfillment Coordination
- • Work directly with Posha's US 3PL partner to manage order punching, shipment tracking, inventory counts, and fulfillment accuracy.
- • Ensure every order goes out with the correct packaging, accessories, and inserts — flag and resolve any kitting discrepancies before they reach the customer.
- • Own the day-to-day operational relationship — escalate quickly, resolve faster.
Procurement of Spares & Accessories Parts
- Forecast spares and accessories inventory well in advance by collaborating with the supply chain team and relevant vendors.
- Directly engage with accessories vendors — getting quotes, negotiating availability, placing orders, and following through to delivery.
- When spares or accessories arrive from vendors, verify quantities and condition against the purchase order — raise discrepancies directly with the supplier and follow through to resolution.
- Prevent stockouts before they happen — not after.
Payments & Vendor Settlements
- Initiate and verify payments to 3PLs, logistics vendors, and freelance technicians after confirming accuracy.
- Maintain clean records and ensure timely processing — no one chases you for a payment.
SOPs & Process Building
- Help build and refine SOPs for Posha's US-based returns and device refurbishment process.
- Process and track returned devices end-to-end — from customer return initiation through to refurbishment completion or disposal.
- Identify patterns in returns and flag recurring issues to the product or CX team to help reduce return rates and improve refurb turnaround time.
- Think beyond the immediate task — if a process is broken, help fix it and document it.
Who You Are
- A final-year student or recent graduate — background in business, supply chain, engineering, or anything that shows you can think and execute.
- Someone who figures things out — you don't wait to be told twice and you're not afraid to pick up the phone or send the email.
- Comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets — tracking shipments, logging inventory, and verifying payments won't faze you.
- A clear communicator — you can write a coherent email to a freight vendor and follow up when they don't respond.
- Able to commit to at least 3 hours of work daily in US time zones — this is a hard requirement of the role, not an occasional ask.
- Genuinely curious about hardware — you don't need to be an engineer, but you should want to understand how the Posha device works.
- Comfortable in a startup — things move fast, priorities shift, and there's no playbook for everything.
Nice to Have
- Any prior exposure to logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce ops — even through coursework, projects, or part-time work.
- Familiarity with international shipping or customs documentation.
- Experience coordinating with vendors or external parties in any capacity.
- Interest in consumer hardware, robotics, or physical products.
- Posha is an equal opportunity employer. We're building a diverse team and encourage applicants from all backgrounds.
