Job Title

Operations - Executive

  • Purpose

Responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and profitable delivery of Apex and Surface shipments to customers through effective management of all inbound operations at the PUD/DC

  • Key Responsibilities

Operational

  • Supervise daily delivery activities for Apex/ Surface operations at the PUD/ Distribution Center (including EDL/ ODA deliveries) with the aim of ensuring timely, safe and profitable delivery of shipments to customers
  • Ensure adherence to the operational workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all Delivery related activities
  • Check pre-alerts to track daily loads at the service centers and plan delivery schedules accordingly
  • Conduct daily staff briefings, including communication regarding any operational changes, route changes etc
  • Check and hand over delivery sheets to the delivery staff
  • Ensure safe, timely and profitable delivery of shipments to customers and reduce instances of undelivered shipments, RTOs, regulatory hold shipments etc
  • Handle all exception cases at the PUD/DC and communicate the same to Hubs, Origins and Customer Services for resolution
  • Follow up with origin for non delivery exceptions and alternate instructions; On a daily basis recheck exceptions of the previous day and ensure follow up of the same
  • Continuously work towards reduction of instances of undelivered shipments, RTO instances, etc.
  • Ensure safe handling of all shipments and report any damaged cases to the origin/ hub
  • Ensure that all regulatory paperwork (octroi, sales tax, etc.) is accurate and complete; Coordinate with origin/customer in case of incomplete paperwork
  • Coordinate with Fleet Team at the PUD/ DC to ensure availability of sufficient vehicles for Deliveries
  • Supervise the vehicle placement at bays and monitor the carting/ loading process
  • Supervise and ensure accurate tally processes for deliveries
  • Ensure timely update of POD/DC's into the online system
  • Monitor performance of Delivery Staff and ensure conduct of trainings for them, in line with the training programmes designed centrally

  • Provide direction, guidance and support to the employees to help them discharge their duties effectively

  • % increase in operational productivity in the PUD / DC (measured as shipments/ employee or net stops/ employee)

Eligibility

  • Not in active PIP or under disciplinary action.
  • Minimum educational qualification graduation in any stream.
