About the Guild:

Founded in 2022, Ethereal Exploration Guild (The Guild) is building the World's First Fully Reusable Medium-Lift Launch Vehicle/Rocket, Razor Crest Mk-1(RCM1).

Based in India, the team has a combined flight heritage of over 75 launches from the PSLV and GSLV fleets, and more than 300 years of collective experience in the space industry. The Guild is also developing a 700,000 sq ft facility dedicated to Upper Stage Engine Testing, which is going to be India's largest privately developed Engine Testing Facility.

The Guild has also built and manufactured India's First Reusable Rocket Engine.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join the Hands of the Guild as an Operations Engineer - Facilities, Procurement & Inventory Management - to manage the sourcing, evaluation, and purchasing of engineering equipment, materials, and services. The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background combined with procurement and inventory management experience, allowing them to assess technical specifications and ensure cost-effective, compliant, and timely purchases for projects.

Location: Hebbal, Bengaluru

Job-Type: On-site, Monday - Saturday

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to define technical specifications and procurement requirements.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, technical capability, compliance, pricing, and delivery performance.
  • Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs), analyze bids, and assist in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors.
  • Ensure materials and equipment meet all project requirements, engineering standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain strong communication with suppliers, project managers, and internal engineering teams.
  • Monitor and expedite supplier performance to meet project milestones.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams for inspection, testing, and acceptance of goods.
  • Track procurement progress and maintain accurate documentation for audits and reporting.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives and operation optimization methodologies.
  • Optimize and manage inventory systems by designing tracking methods, forecasting models, and automation solutions aligned with Lean, JIT, and Six Sigma principles to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure accuracy.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance material flow, resolve inventory discrepancies, ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis and engineering projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
  • 25 years of experience in engineering procurement, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, datasheets, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Familiarity with procurement systems and tools (e.g. Jira, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of quality control procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of dashboards and ERP system is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD for layout design
  • Experience with international sourcing and INCOTERMS.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and relevant industry codes (e.g. AS 9001D).

WORKPLACE & TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:

  • Primarily office-based with frequent interactions on production or warehouse floors
  • May require travel between facilities or to vendor locations
  • Standard working hours, with flexibility during project rollouts
