Role Overview

Joify is an FMCG brand at its core, and we've also launched a direct-to-consumer online store for Hyderabad. We're hiring someone to run Joify's D2C e-commerce operations. You'll be the single point of accountability for everything that happens after a customer clicks buy on our website - inventory management in cold room, packing, dispatch, delivery coordination, customer communication, managing helpers and the numbers behind all of it. This is a hands-on operational role, not a desk job - expect to be on your feet in a cold storage area, packing boxes, and on the phone with delivery riders and customers throughout the day.

Compensation: Rs.30,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

Shopify & Inventory Management

• Manage the Shopify backend: update stock levels, process and fulfill orders, mark shipments, handle cancellations and refunds
• Track SKU-level inventory across individual ice cream units and curated packs; flag low stock and place replenishment requests with the factory
• Conduct daily physical inventory counts of e-commerce stock in cold storage, reconciling counts against Shopify records
• Manage inventory of packaging materials (boxes, tapes, labels, etc.) — track stock and place restock orders with vendors before running low

Order Fulfillment & Pre-Packing

• Assemble curated boxes from individual ice cream units ahead of demand, keeping them neatly organized and dispatch-ready in cold storage
• Pack individual customer orders with support from a packing helper
• Perform quality control on every pre-packed box before dispatch - checking for melt, damage, and seal issues
• Supervise and manage the packing helper's day-to-day work, including task allocation and scheduling

Logistics & Delivery Coordination

• Book and coordinate orders with delivery partners (Rapido, Uber, Porter, etc.) for each dispatch, choosing the best option on cost and speed
• Track deliveries in real time and troubleshoot issues as they arise - wrong turns, delays, failed drop-offs

Customer Communication

• Contact customers post-order to verify delivery address and confirm someone will be available to receive the ice cream
• Own WhatsApp Business as a customer channel - understand requirements, resolve queries, and log requests

Reporting & Analytics

• Track sales analytics - order volume, SKU performance, delivery success rate, refund/complaint rate
• Send a daily report to the director covering order volume, stock levels, customer queries, and any open issues

Requirements

• Prior experience in e-commerce operations, D2C fulfillment, or logistics coordination (food/FMCG experience is a strong plus)
• Comfortable working in a cold storage/freezer environment and doing physical packing work
• Strong communication skills in Telugu, English and Hindi for customer-facing calls
• Basic proficiency with Shopify (or willingness to learn quickly), spreadsheets, and WhatsApp Business
• Familiarity with Hyderabad-area geography for delivery ETA estimation is a plus
• Location: Jubilee Hills, Road No 36. Timings: 11AM - 8PM
• 6 days a week. Holiday is on Monday. Saturday and Sunday are working days.
• Comfortable working weekends/evenings, since ice cream order volume peaks then.
