Job Description

Company Description Sustainfy Energy has over six years of experience in testing and inspection services for the solar PV industry, supporting more than 4.5 GW of solar power plants. The company provides due diligence, root cause analysis, design and engineering, testing, inspection, and is now expanding into asset management (O&M). Sustainfy Energy uses specialized instruments and expertise for on-site performance evaluation of solar plants and key components such as panels, inverters, and cables. The team helps renewable energy asset owners identify and address performance gaps throughout the asset life cycle to maximize economic returns and sustainability. Through its PV Protect methodology, Sustainfy Energy offers 360-degree O&M solutions, including spare parts and warranty claim support, focusing on long-term plant life rather than limited cleaning activities.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Executive role based in the Pune Division. The Business Development Executive will identify and qualify new business opportunities in the solar and renewable energy sector, with a focus on Sustainfy Energy's testing, inspection, and O&M (PV Protect) services. Responsibilities include generating and nurturing leads, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals, and negotiating commercial terms under the guidance of senior leadership. The role involves managing and growing key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, and gathering market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and industry trends. The Business Development Executive will collaborate closely with technical, operations, and finance teams to align client requirements with feasible solutions and to support smooth project onboarding and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation, with the ability to build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Proficiency in Business development practices and Account Management to drive revenue growth and long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear proposals, presentations, and reports.
  • Experience or strong interest in the solar PV or broader renewable energy sector is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets, work independently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort using CRM tools, MS Office (or similar), and basic data analysis to track leads, opportunities, and performance.
  • Willingness to travel within the region for client meetings, site visits, and industry events as required.
