Position Overview

Job Title: Operations Analyst (US Valuations), NCT

Location: Pune, India

The Reference Data Analyst focuses on effective strategic data used across the bank's systems and infrastructure. Reference data, either sourced externally or generated internally, covers a wide range of critical enterprise-wide information such as pricing, securities, books, financial products, clients, legal entities, accounts, and mandates.

The Reference Data Analyst supports various elements of the data lifecycle, from ensuring that data is captured from the best source, to validating and classifying, and operating controls that optimize its quality and maximize coverage. The Reference Data Analyst has responsibility for maintaining robust processes related to data set-up, storage and distribution, as well as system configuration, together with participation in projects designed to streamline infrastructure and improve efficiency.

Reference data is integral to the bank's response to regulatory requirements. Close partnership is needed with stakeholders such as Front Office, Middle Office, Audit, Compliance and Regulatory Reporting to deliver solutions that balance immediate business priorities with long term strategic objectives.

Your key responsibilities

  • Work closely with the DWS Fiduciary Valuation Risk - Liquid Investment team in Boston (US) and Accounting Agents (SSB, BBH, etc.) and provide support to both the business and internal and external stakeholders that includes the identification and resolution of pricing data quality issues

  • Verify that the DWS pricing instructions to the accounting agents were correctly applied to the accounting records

  • Validate price tolerance (NAV Impact) report sent by Accounting Agents with secondary source, e.g. Daily Big Movers Monitoring, Stale Price Monitoring,First Priced Check (missing vendor coverage)

  • Foreign equity factors implementation trigger check and post implementation testing

  • Reviewed the fair valued securities transaction report sent by Accounting Agents is in order to compare transacted prices to fair value prices and follow up with FVR if any changes need to be made to any fair valuation methodologies.

  • Utilize daily/monthly purchase and sales reports as well as the price challenge summary to create Price Challenge Summary Report

Your skills and experience

  • Should have knowledge about different asset classes like Fixed Income, Equities & Derivatives.

  • Added Advantage if candidate has application knowledge of Applications like SCD, PACE, Aladdin, and data source systems like Refinitiv and Bloomberg.

  • Ability to monitor tight deadlines and meet KPI.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
