Role Description

We are looking for you as a new member of the Regulatory Authority Reporting Team European Markets Infrastructure Regulations (EMIR). Your task is the daily analysis and solution of complex reporting breaks, which we receive from our trade repository. You will work on solutions together with other DWS teams as well as with DWS counterparties. This will allow you to broaden your international experience and gain insights into other operational areas. Your work will support the activities of DWS to meet the requirements of the important EMIR regulation. Our expectations of you are a high attention to details and work quality, flexibility, and adherence to deadlines. You will have the opportunity to work independently to a high degree and ensure that the tasks assigned to you are completed on time. You will be supported by experienced team members in multinational locations. Your knowledge of the securities lending and/or repo business will make your job easier.

Your key responsibilities

• Analysis and resolution of unpaired Securities/Trades.
• Analysis and resolution of EMIR reporting reconciliation breaks.
• Have strong knowledge of Reconciliation process and understand various (ledger and statement) feeds/swifts.
• Able to identify the cause and assign the trade breaks to correct team for further investigation & resolution.
• Understand the impact of the securities/trade breaks and able to connect the dots to find earliest resolution.
• Knowledge of Trade Life Cycle of various financial products will be an advantage
• Re-reporting of rejected EMIR reporting breaks.
• Adherence to 4 eye principals wherever implemented.
• Support the update of Key Operating Documents if needed.
• Smooth Transition of new processes.
• Ensure adequate back-ups created for all critical positions and assist other teams during contingencies (Staff shortage, high volumes etc.).
• Escalate all issues in time, to the appropriate level, to avoid any adverse impact on the business
• Experience / Exposure should have complete knowledge of end-to-end OTC, Financial products reconciliation with 2-3 years of experience in the domain in an Investment Banking or Asset Management setup
• Communicate and collaborate with DWS operational teams as well as DWS counterparties in multiple jurisdictions.
• Escalate issues in time, to the appropriate level, to avoid any adverse impact on the business
• Maintain clear and prompt communication with the Frankfurt based team Regulatory Authority Reporting.
• Ensure team-work culture is practiced.

Your skills and experience

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English language German language capabilities are advantageous
• Ability to plan and organize work
• Ability to follow up and drive open items to closure
• Working knowledge of MS Office tools are a must
• Experience of managing multiple activities with different timelines and coordination required
