OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Operational Risk Manager plays a critical role in driving the effectiveness of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives within the organization. This position is central to ensuring that HCLTech's internal controls, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring activities are robust and aligned with industry standards. By supporting audits and remediation processes, the role directly contributes to maintaining the company's reputation for integrity and operational excellence.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES

- Execute compliance monitoring activities, including regular risk assessments and control testing, to ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.

- Maintain comprehensive audit documentation and up-to-date policy records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for internal and external stakeholders.

- Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation, reporting, and follow-up on remediation activities.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and review risk mitigation strategies and enhance compliance frameworks.

- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of GRC policies, procedures, and best practices.

- Analyze and report on audit findings and risk exposures, delivering actionable insights to management.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 8–10 years of experience in governance, risk management, compliance, or audit within a shared services environment.

- In-depth knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO (especially ISO 27001/ISMS), SOX, GDPR, or ITGC.

- Experience in audit documentation, risk assessments, and control testing methodologies.

- Preferred certifications: CISA, ISO Lead Auditor (ISO 27001, ISMS).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (OPTIONAL)

- Experience in multinational or large-scale enterprise environments.

- Familiarity with audit management tools and GRC platforms.

- Ability to adapt to fast-paced, dynamic work settings.
