Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operational Risk Control Associate to join our team. As a key member of the risk management department, you will play an important role in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating operational risks across the organization. Your responsibilities will include understanding and implementing FINMA and other relevant regulatory guidelines, maintaining and enhancing internal control systems, supporting risk assessments, and preparing clear and timely risk and governance reports. The role also involves collaborating with business and other control functions to strengthen risk processes and ensure effective issue tracking and remediation. Hands-on experience with tools such as Excel, SharePoint and Jira is highly valued, along with a strong interest in operational risk management and regulatory compliance.

Your AMINA To-Do List

Operational Risk Management:

  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk control measures.
  • Monitor risk indicators and report on risk exposure.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements, including those outlined by FINMA1.
  • Coordinate Risk & Control Self Assessments with process owners.
  • Conduct key control assessments.

GRC System Maintenance:

  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of our GRC system (in Jira)
  • Participate in control testing and validation.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare regular risk reports for senior management and relevant committees.
  • Facilitate resolution of risk incidents and finding root causes.
  • Contribute to the development of risk dashboards and metrics.

Your golden ticket to the AMINA team:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in operational risk management or a related role.
  • Knowledge of FINMA guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in using SharePoint and Jira.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
