Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced OpenText VIM Consultant with strong SAP integration expertise to implement and support invoice management solutions. The role focuses on automating accounts payable processes using OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) integrated with SAP ECC / S/4HANA, improving efficiency, compliance, and financial visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support OpenText VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) solutions integrated with SAP.
- Configure invoice processing workflows, including PO-based and non-PO invoices.
- Design and manage document capture and OCR integration (OpenText Capture Center / ICC).
- Configure document types, indexing, validation rules, and exception handling.
- Integrate VIM with SAP modules (FI, MM) for seamless invoice posting and processing.
- Customize and enhance VIM functionalities using ABAP (BAdIs, user exits) where required.
- Monitor and optimize invoice processing cycles, exception handling, and approval workflows.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders (Finance/AP, Procurement) to gather and refine requirements.
- Support testing (SIT/UAT), go-live, and hypercare activities.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot system issues.
- Ensure compliance with audit, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare technical and functional documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in OpenText VIM implementation/support.
- Strong experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA integration.
- Good understanding of SAP FI (Accounts Payable) and MM processes.
- Hands-on experience with VIM configuration (document types, DP workflows, indexing, etc.).
- Experience with OCR integration (ICC / Capture Center).
- Knowledge of ABAP enhancements (BAdIs, user exits, debugging).
- Familiarity with workflow configuration and exception handling.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with OpenText Extended ECM for SAP.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori apps related to VIM / AP processing.
- Exposure to SAP BTP / Integration Suite (CPI).
- Experience in e-invoicing and compliance frameworks (e.g., PEPPOL, GST, etc.).
- Familiarity with RPA tools or automation frameworks.
- OpenText VIM or SAP certification.
