OpenText VIM Functional Lead

We are looking for an experienced OpenText VIM Functional Lead / Consultant with 10+ years of hands-on experience in OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), IC4S/OCR, and SAP FI/AP. The ideal candidate will be responsible for functional design, implementation, enhancement, support, testing, and continuous improvement of VIM and OCR-based invoice processing solutions.

The role requires strong functional leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive end-to-end invoice automation processes across SAP and OpenText environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the functional design, delivery, enhancement, support, and continuous improvement of OpenText VIM and OCR/IC4S solutions.
• Act as the primary functional lead for VIM programs, releases, upgrades, process improvements, and complex issue resolution.
• Lead and govern implementation and support consultants, including prioritization, quality assurance, milestone tracking, delivery reviews, and escalation management.
• Ensure end-to-end integration across invoice receipt, OCR capture, validation, workflow, PO/non-PO processing, approvals, exception handling, posting, payment, and archiving.
• Lead functional testing activities, including test strategy, scenario design, SIT, UAT coordination, defect triage, business sign-off, and deployment readiness.
• Collaborate with AP Operations, Procurement, Finance, business process owners, SAP technical teams, Security, Controls, and Service Management teams.
• Manage stakeholder expectations through structured governance, status reporting, risk management, and timely escalation.
• Identify and drive improvements in touchless invoice processing, OCR accuracy, workflow efficiency, exception handling, compliance, and user experience.
• Maintain functional documentation, process maps, configuration rationale, operating procedures, knowledge articles, and training materials.

Required Experience & Technical Skills:

• 10+ years of relevant hands-on experience with OpenText VIM and IC4S/OCR.
• Deep functional knowledge of the VIM lifecycle, including invoice capture, DP document processing, workflow concepts, exception management, approvals, PO/non-PO invoices, parking/posting, and archival integration.
• Strong experience with OpenText OCR/IC4S, including document classification, extraction, validation, learning/improvement cycles, OCR quality monitoring, and integration with VIM.
• Strong understanding of SAP FI/AP and good knowledge of SAP MM/P2P processes, including purchase orders, goods receipts, taxation, payments, and invoice controls.
• Experience managing end-to-end project/release delivery, including requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
• Strong skills in functional analysis, solution design, defect management, test management, and documentation.
• Ability to assess operational impact and balance standardization, usability, controls, cost, and technical feasibility.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, governance, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with VIM upgrades and large-scale implementations.
• Experience in invoice automation and touchless processing initiatives.
• Knowledge of SAP integration and archival solutions.
• Experience working with global AP/Finance teams.
• Strong experience in production support and complex issue resolution.
