Application Developer (Documentum D2 Developer)

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Documentum D2 Developer to design, develop, customize, and support enterprise content management (ECM) solutions built on OpenText Documentum and D2. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with Documentum repositories, D2 configuration, and integration with enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize Documentum D2 applications using D2 Config, D2 Designer, and D2 REST.
- Configure and manage Documentum objects including types, aspects, lifecycles, workflows, and relationships.
- Develop and customize Documentum workflows using Workflow Manager and Process Builder.
- Implement DQL, server methods, TBOs, SBOs, and Java‑based custom components.
- Integrate Documentum with external systems using REST, Web Services, or custom APIs.
- Support content migration and bulk operations using tools like D2 Import/Export, Documentum Foundation Classes (DFC), or custom scripts.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards.
- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory Skills
- 3+ years of experience working with OpenText Documentum
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Documentum D2 (D2‑Config, D2‑Designer, D2 Runtime)
- Strong knowledge of DFC, DQL, lifecycles, workflows, ACLs, aspects
- Proficiency in Java, JSP, and basic frontend concepts (HTML, JavaScript)
- Experience with Documentum Content Server, DA, and WDK
- Strong understanding of ECM concepts and content lifecycle management
- Experience working with Windows and Unix/Linux environments
Good to Have
- Experience with Documentum Webtop
- Knowledge of OpenText Content Server integrations
- Exposure to cloud migrations or Documentum upgrades
- Experience in regulated domains (Banking, Insurance, Pharma, Healthcare)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git, SVN)
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
