Role Description The OpenShift and Database Infrastructure Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane. This role is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing OpenShift clusters and associated infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for telecom applications. The individual will oversee database environments, including configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, backup, and recovery, as well as collaborate on data modeling and database design to support business and operations support systems. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting infrastructure issues, implementing automation for deployment and maintenance, coordinating with development and operations teams, and contributing to capacity planning and scaling strategies. The role involves documenting procedures, adhering to organizational standards and best practices, and mentoring team members on infrastructure and database operations.
Qualifications
- Strong database administration experience with skills in Databases and Database Administration.
- Proficiency in Database Design and Data Modeling for complex, high-volume systems.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for diagnosing performance issues and optimizing infrastructure and database operations.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes-based container platforms, including cluster setup, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Linux-based systems, scripting (such as Bash, Python), and infrastructure automation tools.
- Experience with backup, recovery, security controls, and high availability solutions for databases and containers.
- Ability to work on-site in Thane, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and handle production support responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; experience in telecom or B/OSS environments is an advantage.
