We are looking for an enthusiastic Kubernetes Platform Engineer with 1+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, Linux administration, and kubernetes platform support. In this role, candidate will help maintain and support our on-premise OpenShift and Kubernetes environments. You will work closely with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues, automate routine tasks, and support application development teams in deploying microservices. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in Cloud-Native technologies, GitOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) while working in a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
Platform Support: Assist in the administration, maintenance, and support of on-premise OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and performance.
Infrastructure Operations: Perform daily OpenShift system administration tasks, monitor infrastructure health, and assist with patch management and system upgrades.
Troubleshooting: Act as a first/second line of support for platform-related issues. Investigate failed deployments, pod crashes, and connectivity issues.
Automation: Identify repetitive manual tasks and work with senior engineers to write and maintain automation scripts (Ansible, Shell, Python).
Collaboration: Work alongside software developers to help containerize applications and troubleshoot issues in lower environments (Dev/QA).
Monitoring: Help maintain observability dashboards (Grafana) and respond to alerts generated by Prometheus or APM tools.
Continuous Learning: Actively participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions, learn advanced Kubernetes concepts (like Operators, ODF, and Security Context Constraints), and gradually take on more complex platform engineering tasks.
Bachelor of Engineering with minimum 1 year of experience on Linux and kuberbetes platform with good development skillset and knowledge
