Job Description

The OpenShift Administrator will be responsible for deployment, management, and ongoing maintenance of Red Hat OpenShift clusters supporting IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS). The role ensures seamless operation, performance optimization, and security of containerized enterprise applications hosted on Azure or AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift platforms onAzure/AWS.
  • Perform comprehensive cluster maintenance including patching, configuration changes, and operator lifecycle management.
  • Troubleshoot issues related topods, services, networking, CRDs, storage classes, and overall cluster health.
  • Handle cluster creation and lifecycle management inROSA (AWS)andARO (Azure).
  • Create and updateAnsible playbooksfor Maximo Application Suite (MAS) deployment.
  • Set up and manage monitoring tools such asInstana, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Collaborate with Maximo development and functional teams to ensure environment availability and readiness.
  • Implementbackup and restore policiesfor cluster components, customer resources, and MongoDB.
  • Implement and maintainCI/CD pipelinesand container lifecycle workflows.
  • UseTerraformfor provisioning and infrastructure-as-code tasks.
  • Prepare system documentation, runbooks, and participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Work with security teams to harden environments and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Manage certificates and maintain compliance withITIL processes.
  • Conduct infrastructure sizing assessments for OpenShift cluster setup.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience inLinuxandOpenShift administration.
  • Strong hands-on experience withOpenShift installation and configurationonAzure/AWS.
  • Expertise inRHEL, Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization concepts.
  • Strong scripting skills inBash/Python.
  • Experience withMongoDB.
  • Proven troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience withMaximo Application Suitesetup on cloud (preferred).

Preferred Certifications

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
