Description
We are looking for an experienced Manager - IPDRG to lead our initiatives in the management of inpatient payment systems. This role will focus on optimizing our processes and ensuring compliance while improving patient care outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for the management of Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) and Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) processes.
- Oversee the analysis of data related to patient admissions, length of stay, and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics related to IPDRG activities.
- Lead training initiatives for staff on best practices in coding and billing under IPDRG guidelines.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders including payers and regulatory bodies.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 14-18 years of experience in healthcare management or a related area.
- Strong understanding of IPDRG and billing processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software relevant to healthcare metrics.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and maintain compliance.
