Job Title: Associate Director Operations (US Healthcare RCM)

Location: Chennai

Department: Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)

Experience: 18-25 years

Associate Director – Operations (RCM) Prochant is seeking a highly experienced RCM leader to oversee complete revenue cycle operations across intake, eligibility verification, prior authorization, billing, and accounts receivable. This senior leadership role will ensure seamless patient onboarding, payer compliance, claim accuracy, and denial prevention across the full RCM continuum.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership

  • Lead end‑to‑end RCM operations for multiple US healthcare clients.
  • Oversee intake accuracy, eligibility validation, benefits verification, prior authorization, billing, and AR follow‑up.
  • Ensure timely handling of referrals, claim submissions, and collections with strict SLA and TAT adherence.
  • Drive cross‑functional coordination across Intake, EV, PA, Billing, and AR teams to maximize first‑pass yield.

Delivery Excellence & Client Management

  • Ensure consistent delivery against SLAs, KPIs, quality benchmarks, and compliance standards.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for client issues across the RCM spectrum.
  • Build strong client partnerships through proactive communication and governance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in clean claim rates and denial prevention.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Standardize processes and SOPs across the RCM lifecycle.
  • Lead automation initiatives (payer portals, RPA, workflow tools) to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Track payer policy changes and ensure readiness across all RCM functions.

People & Leadership Development

  • Mentor and develop senior managers, managers, and team leaders across intake, billing, and AR.
  • Build a strong leadership pipeline through structured training and succession planning.
  • Ensure continuous skill upgradation aligned with payer rules and regulatory updates.

Strategic Alignment

  • Partner with senior leadership to align RCM operations with organizational strategy and growth.
  • Support new client onboarding, volume ramp‑ups, and service line expansions.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Deep expertise across the full RCM lifecycle (Intake, EV, PA, Billing, AR).
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payer rules.
  • Proven experience managing large‑scale operations (300 plus FTEs preferred).
  • Excellent client engagement, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
  • Track record in process improvement, automation, and operational transformation.
  • Strategic mindset with strong decision‑making and people leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline.
  • 15+ years of overall US healthcare RCM operations experience.
  • 7+ years in leadership roles managing managers and large delivery teams.
