Ufinity Ventures is sharing an opportunity for highly skilled Open-Source Software Engineers and GitHub Contributors to participate in an advanced AI training and software-engineering project.

We are looking specifically for engineers who own or maintain open-source repositories or have made meaningful code contributions to established open-source projects.

Selected engineers will work on challenging software-engineering tasks involving repository exploration, debugging, feature development, system architecture, testing, code evaluation, and cross-language implementation.

Important: A public or otherwise verifiable GitHub profile and meaningful open-source engineering contributions are core requirements. Documentation-only changes, dependency bumps, formatting changes, or minor typo fixes are not sufficient.

What You'll Work On

• Explore and understand unfamiliar open-source repositories and codebases.
• Implement, modify, and debug front-end and back-end components.
• Trace data and execution across services, interfaces, libraries, APIs, databases, and external dependencies.
• Reproduce complex software issues and identify underlying root causes.
• Implement solutions that align with an existing project's architecture and contribution standards.
• Write unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests.
• Review AI-generated code patches for correctness, completeness, security, and maintainability.
• Solve and validate challenging real-world software-engineering tasks.
• Translate complete coding implementations from one programming language to another when required.
• Clearly document technical reasoning and implementation decisions.
  

Required Qualifications

• Public or otherwise verifiable GitHub profile.
• Meaningful ownership of or contributions to one or more open-source repositories.
• Ability to discuss specific repositories, pull requests, issues, and code you personally authored.
• Strong software-engineering experience in one or more substantial technical areas, such as:
• Front-end engineering
• Back-end engineering
• Full-stack development
• Systems engineering
• Developer tooling
• Infrastructure / platform engineering
• Experience working across multiple programming languages.
• Strong ability to understand and modify unfamiliar codebases.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices.
• Ability to write maintainable, production-quality code.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong candidates may be:

• Open-source project maintainers
• Repository owners
• Core contributors
• Engineers with substantial merged pull requests
• Engineers who have implemented features or fixed meaningful bugs
• Engineers who have contributed architecture, testing, performance, security, or infrastructure improvements

Compensation & Availability
