Open Source DBA

We are looking for a motivated Level 1 Database Administrator (DBA) with foundational experience in managing open-source databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on exposure and a passion for open-source technologies, eager to grow their DBA skills in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Basic administration and monitoring of MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Perform routine backups, restores, and health checks.
• Assist in database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Support deployment activities and database changes.
• Help troubleshoot database issues under the guidance of senior DBAs.
• Document processes and contribute to knowledge base.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL in a production or development environment.
• Familiarity with Linux command line and scripting.
• Basic understanding of database concepts, replication, and backup strategies.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced team.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Exposure to monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
• Understanding of DevOps or CI/CD workflows.
