The Qualifications We Seek
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field; or equivalent work experience
Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in onsite desktop support or a similar technical support role
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Adaptable to different working arrangements and operational requirements, including shifting schedules and onsite or hybrid work environments
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills across software and network-related issues
- Proficiency with remote support tools and technologies
- Advanced certifications in relevant IT disciplines are an advantage
Your Daily Tasks
End-User Support
- Provide hands-on technical assistance for hardware, software, and peripheral issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents that cannot be addressed remotely
- Support device setup, configuration, and maintenance for desktops, laptops, and other approved mobile devices
Incident & Request Management
- Log, track, and resolve tickets within the ITSM system while meeting defined service level agreements (SLAs)
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate resolver groups when necessary
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and incidents
Hardware & Asset Management
- Deploy, install, and configure IT equipment for new hires and replacement devices
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and ensure compliance with asset management policies
- Coordinate equipment repairs and warranty claims with vendors
Network & Connectivity Support
- Assist with LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity issues and perform basic network troubleshooting
- Support VPN configuration and connectivity requirements for onsite users
Collaboration & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for onsite IT concerns
- Communicate issue status updates and resolutions clearly to end users
- Collaborate with remote support teams and other IT functions to ensure seamless service delivery
Operational Excellence
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements
- Document processes, solutions, and technical guides to support knowledge sharing
- Identify and implement service improvements that enhance the end-user experience
Other Responsibilities
- Perform additional administrative, operational, and project-related tasks as assigned by management
