The Opportunity
We're looking for passionate and empathetic Creative Writing & Communication Teachers who enjoy nurturing young minds and making learning engaging, interactive, and meaningful.
You'll teach students from Grades 3 to 6 through live 1:1 online sessions using Codingal's structured curriculum and interactive teaching tools. What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging 45-minute live 1:1 online lessons in Creative Writing & Communication for students from Grades 3–6.
- Conduct trial/demo classes to showcase the learning experience and personalize teaching based on student needs.
- Develop students communication skills through engaging speaking activities, discussions, storytelling, presentations, and confidence-building exercises.
- Teach creative writing concepts including story structure, descriptive writing, character development, dialogue writing, poetry, and narrative techniques.
- Help students strengthen vocabulary, grammar, sentence construction, reading comprehension, and written expression.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and self-expression through interactive writing prompts, debates, role plays, and collaborative activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Conduct PTMs, doubt-clearing sessions, and additional academic support whenever required.
- Collaborate with curriculum and academic teams to continuously improve classroom engagement and learning outcomes.
- Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident expressing themselves.
What We're Looking For
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree preferably in English, Literature, Journalism, Mass Communication, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of teaching experience in Creative Writing, English Language Arts (ELA), Communication Skills, Public Speaking, or related subjects.
- Excellent spoken and written English with strong communication skills.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, creative writing techniques, language development, and communication fundamentals.
- Ability to engage and motivate young learners through activity-based teaching.
- Patient, empathetic, and passionate about working with children.
- Comfortable using online teaching tools such as Zoom, PowerPoint, shared documents, quizzes, and interactive learning platforms.
- Reliable work setup with a laptop/desktop, webcam, microphone, and stable internet connection.
Good to Have
- Experience teaching K-12 students in an online or EdTech environment.
- Background in writing, blogging, journalism, content creation, theatre, debate, or publishing.
- Experience teaching communication skills, spoken English, or confidence-building programs.
- Familiarity with student-centric and activity-based learning methodologies.
- Ability to create engaging, interactive, and fun classroom experiences.
- Growth mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Availability & Commitment
- Minimum 4–6 teaching hours daily (approximately one 45-minute session per class).
- Flexible scheduling based on availability.
- Must be available for onboarding, training, and demo classes during the hiring process.
- Evening and weekend availability will be an added advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
- Revenue-sharing model: Earn 30% of the net course class fee paid by your students.
- Minimum guaranteed payout of ₹200–₹400 per class, depending on grade level, region, and teaching experience.
- Monthly Minimum Guarantee of up to ₹16,000 during the first six months for eligible teachers.
- Student retention incentives with progressive revenue-share bonuses of up to 14%.
