Role Description

The Online Scratch Mentor is a part-time, remote role dedicated to teaching coding to students using Scratch programming. Responsibilities include planning and conducting interactive sessions, personalizing lessons to suit individual learning styles, and offering guidance to ensure a fun and educational experience for every student. Mentors will support student engagement, provide feedback on projects, and foster a positive learning environment. Flexible scheduling is available, aligning with the US time shift from 2:30 am to 7:30 am (5 hours).

Qualifications

• Proficiency in teaching Scratch programming and related content
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students
• Demonstrated ability to create interactive and tailored lesson plans
• Experience in guiding children or young learners is highly desirable
• Passion for teaching and creativity in engaging students effectively
• Reliable technology setup and a stable internet connection for remote instruction
• Availability to work in US time zones
• A background in education, computer science, or a related field is a plus
