Online Mentor for Scratch & Python- US shift

Codeyoung provides coding courses tailored for children aged 5 to 17, fostering a love for programming at a young age. At Codeyoung, the focus is on creating an engaging, hands-on curriculum with clear learning goals that empower students to explore and innovate. Sessions are designed to be highly interactive and student-centered, moving away from traditional teacher-led models to ensure an impactful learning experience for every child.

This is a part-time remote role for an Online Mentor specializing in Scratch and Python. The mentor will be responsible for teaching coding classes to young learners, guiding them through programming concepts, troubleshooting their code, and fostering an engaging, interactive learning environment. Responsibilities also include preparing lesson plans, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching methods to different learning styles.

• Proficiency in Scratch and Python programming languages
• Strong teaching abilities, including clear communication, patience, and adaptability
• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and delivering engaging educational sessions
• Technical skills to troubleshoot coding problems and assist students effectively
• Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a professional online presence
• Prior experience in teaching kids or a similar mentorship role is preferred
• Enthusiasm for education, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for inspiring young minds
• Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
