Job Description

Oncology Clinical Researcher (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your deep expertise in cancer clinical trials could directly shape how AI understands and reasons about oncology — influencing the tools that will support the next generation of cancer research and treatment decisions

We're looking for an Oncology Clinical Researcher to bring real-world clinical trial knowledge into cutting-edge AI development. You'll work alongside leading AI research teams to ensure that oncology data, reasoning, and outputs meet the highest scientific, regulatory, and clinical standards.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced oncology professionals. No AI background required — just deep command of cancer clinical research and a sharp eye for scientific rigor.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Review and evaluate AI-generated oncology content for clinical accuracy, regulatory alignment, and scientific validity
  • Apply your expertise in trial design — protocols, patient enrollment, endpoints, and compliance — to assess and improve AI outputs
  • Analyze cancer trial data representations, including safety profiles, efficacy results, and biomarker findings, to verify how well AI captures real-world complexity
  • Evaluate AI-generated regulatory and scientific content against FDA/EMA submission standards
  • Provide structured, expert feedback that directly shapes how AI models understand and reason about oncology
  • Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Experienced in designing and managing oncology clinical trials — from protocol development through data readout
  • Strong background in analyzing oncology clinical data, including endpoints, safety profiles, and biomarkers
  • Familiar with regulatory submission standards for agencies such as the FDA or EMA
  • Detail-oriented and methodical — you catch what others miss
  • Comfortable translating complex clinical knowledge into clear, structured evaluations
  • No prior AI or tech experience required

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or evaluation workflows
  • Background in oncology subspecialties such as immuno-oncology, precision medicine, or rare cancers
  • Experience contributing to publications, IND/NDA submissions, or clinical study reports
  • Familiarity with AI tools or clinical decision support systems as an end user

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI systems transforming how cancer research is understood and applied
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, expert-level work
  • Influence how AI models reason about real oncology data at a foundational level
  • Collaborate with world-leading AI research labs and a global network of domain experts
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
