About the Role
Paytm is seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented professional to drive analytics for the onboarding ecosystem, focusing on onboarding performance, volume management, operational efficiency, and business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, advanced dashboarding expertise, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights for senior stakeholders.
This role requires a combination of business analytics, data visualization, stakeholder management, and strategic problem-solving to support decision-making across onboarding operations and growth functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end analytics for onboarding journeys, onboarding funnel performance, and operational volume management.
- Monitor onboarding KPIs, identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve conversion, activation, and customer experience.
- Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and executive-level reporting frameworks using Power BI and Google Looker Studio.
- Analyze large-scale datasets to provide actionable insights that drive business performance and operational excellence.
- Build forecasting models and volume planning frameworks to support business growth and resource optimization.
- Partner with business, product, operations, risk, and leadership teams to identify key metrics and performance improvement opportunities.
- Design and automate recurring reports, MIS, and performance tracking mechanisms.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand customer behavior, onboarding efficiency, productivity trends, and business outcomes.
- Create impactful business presentations and executive summaries for leadership reviews.
- Drive data-driven decision-making through structured problem solving and advanced analytics.
- Ensure data accuracy, governance, and consistency across reporting systems.
- Support strategic initiatives through analytical modeling, scenario planning, and performance measurement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business, or related quantitative discipline.
- MBA from a premier institute preferred (IIMs, ISB, FMS, XLRI, SPJIMR, MDI, IITs, or equivalent premium pedigree institutions).
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in Business Analytics, Operations Analytics, Growth Analytics, or related analytical roles.
- Prior experience managing analytics for onboarding, customer lifecycle, operations, or large-scale business processes is preferred.
- Experience in fintech, payments, digital platforms, banking, e-commerce, or technology-driven organizations is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Strong expertise in Power BI, including dynamic dashboard creation, DAX, data modeling, and automated reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Google Looker Studio (Google Data Studio).
- Strong understanding of business analytics, KPI frameworks, and performance measurement.
- Experience handling high-volume datasets and building scalable reporting solutions.
- Working knowledge of SQL is preferred.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and forecasting techniques is an advantage.
