This is a full-time hybrid role based in Chennai, with flexibility for partial remote work. The Merchant Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and compliant onboarding journey for new merchants integrating with our fintech payment gateway.
Key responsibilities include:
- Guiding merchants through the end-to-end onboarding and KYC process.
- Validating and reviewing merchant documents (business, financial, and compliance-related).
- Coordinating with internal teams (tech, compliance, operations) to enable smooth integration of payment gateway services.
- Providing continuous support and timely updates to merchants during the onboarding phase.
- Tracking and analyzing onboarding metrics to optimize efficiency and turnaround time.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, risk policies, and industry standards.
Qualification :
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Proven experience in merchant/client onboarding or customer lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of fintech, digital payments, or financial services industry practices.
- Familiarity with KYC, AML, and regulatory compliance frameworks is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor and improve onboarding metrics.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Finance, or related field) or equivalent relevant experience.
