Job Duties:
- Work with data engineers and architects to create and execute test plans to validate the migration of data and transformation assets from AWS to Azure.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Identify, document, and track defects and issues.
- Monitor and report on QA metrics and KPIs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest QA tools, techniques, and trends.
- Participate in product design and requirement reviews.
- Ensure that all QA activities are documented and auditable.
Basic Qualifications:
· 3+ years Scripting (python preferred)
- familiarity with Azure
- experience with data engineering testing and testing methodologies
- Ability to design, script, and execute test plans, maintaining rigor through the testing process
- Demonstrate proficiency in coding skills, utilizing languages such as Python, Java, and Scala to efficiently move solutions into production while prioritizing performance, security, scalability, and robust data integrations.
- Collaborate seamlessly across diverse technical stacks, including Cloudera, Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS.
- Think critically to identify potential pitfalls and write test cases to mitigate them.
Preferred Skills:
· Demonstrate production experience in core data platforms including AWS, Azure, Hadoop, and more.
· Undergraduate or Graduate degree preferredMinimum Skills Required
