Officer / Senior Officer – Innovation, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship

Location: Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab

Are you passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship, skill development, and building industry partnerships Lovely Professional University is looking for dynamic professionals to join our team and drive initiatives that create meaningful opportunities for students, startups, and the wider innovation ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement skill development, certification, and employability programs for students.

• Promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty.

• Design and execute pre-incubation, incubation, mentoring, and startup development programs.

• Establish Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in collaboration with industry and government organizations.

• Build strategic partnerships with industry bodies, government agencies, investors, mentors, CSR organizations, and ecosystem partners.

• Organize bootcamps, hackathons, workshops, demo days, competitions, and experiential learning programs.

• Mentor students and startups and support them in idea development, validation, business planning, and growth.

• Identify and facilitate CSR, grants, funding, and investment opportunities for skill development, innovation, and startup initiatives.

• Track program and startup progress, milestones, outcomes, and deliverables.

• Manage day-to-day operations of skill development and incubation initiatives while ensuring compliance with university and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor industry trends and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve programs and initiatives.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline.

• Relevant certifications/exposure in skill development, innovation, entrepreneurship, or incubation will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of overall experience.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in skill development, training, industry collaboration, innovation, entrepreneurship, incubation, startup ecosystem, or related domains.

• Experience with a university/education-based incubation center or startup ecosystem will be preferred.
