Job Title: Officer (Human Resource)

Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Travel : As per the need of the projects

Position Overview

The role majorly responsible for end-to-end employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exit, and administer the performance management process and is pivotal in ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience, driving HR operational excellence, and leveraging HRMS to streamline processes.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Lifecycle Management:

Onboarding

  • Responsible for conducting background checks of new joinees
  • Joining / onboarding process for new hires including appointment letters
  • Coordinating orientation schedules, and ensuring a smooth first-day experience.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees during their initial 30 days.

Probation & Confirmation

Track probation periods, coordinate with managers for feedback and initiate confirmation process.

Employee Data Management

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRMS, including personal details, job history and compensation changes.

Transfers & Promotions

Process internal transfers, job role changes,promotions, and other employment status changes, ensuring proper documentation and system updates.

Offboarding

Manage the full and final settlement process, make sure exit interviews are conducted and analysis of data is done for trends, and ensure a professional and respectful separation.

  • Performance Management Administration:
  • Act as the primary administrator for the performance management cycle (Goal Setting, Mid-Year Reviews, Year-End Appraisals).
  • Coordinate the timeline, communicate process guidelines to employees and managers, and provide necessary training and support.
  • Track completion rates, generate reports, and assist the Senior Manager in analyzing performance data for insights.
  • Maintain the performance management module within the HRMS.
  • HR Systems (HRMS) & Analytics:
  • Ensure data integrity by performing regular audits and clean-ups within the HRMS
  • Generate standard and ad-hoc reports from the HRMS (e.g., headcount, turnover, attendance) to support HR and business decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve HRMS efficiency.
  • HR Communication & Coordination:
  • Draft and disseminate clear and timely HR communications to employees regarding policies, processes, and initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and the HR team to address queries related to policies, benefits, and lifecycle events.
  • Support in organizing employee engagement activities, training sessions, and other HR events.
  • Maintain and update the HR section of the company intranet and other communication channels.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of professional experience in a core HR operations or HR generalist role.
  • Hands-on experience with any Human Resource Management System (HRMS) or HRIS for managing employee data and processes.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the end-to-end employee lifecycle (onboarding to exit) and performance management cycles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Marathi and Hindi.
  • Strong command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree / Post-Graduation in Human Resources (MBA/MSW in HR) or a relevant field.
  • Prior experience in the development/NGO/skilling/education sector.
  • Experience in implementing, administering, or significantly optimizing an HRMS platform.
  • Experience in generating HR metrics and reports to derive insights for decision-making.
  • Experience in coordinating organization-wide HR processes or employee engagement initiatives.
