Officer Communications- Alumni Relations

Job Description

Requisite Qualification:

1. Bachelor's / Masters degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.

2. Linguistic Proficiency (Gujarati, Marathi Preferrable - in addition to Hindi/English)

3. Minimum 6-8 years of experience in gaining outreach through communications, social media management, or digital marketing. Ability to create promotional content together with visual (audio/video)designing will be a distinct plus.

Requisite Experience :

1. Experience in brand identity promotion and managing communications for events and activities.

2. Identifying SEOs, Strong content creation skills, including copywriting and visual content design.

3. Experience in developing and managing newsletters, forums, fund raising and other communication channels for targeting and positioning diverse audiences.

4. Strong project management skills.

5.Experience in using and integrating AI tools into communication strategies for effective outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

1. The key responsibility is to support the Director. To work in close collaboration with the Director on all Communications programs and initiatives with the purpose of creating the Somaiya Identity.

These are likely to be:

1. Brand Identity promotion

2. Communications for Activities and Events

3. Newsletter/Forum

4. Social Media including the use of AI tools like Chat GPT, Co-pilot, Canva and D-iD.

5. Other communications to external and internal publics

6. Development, and continuous monitoring, of Alumni website/webpage/portal including uploading of Alumni data. It would involve: Effective Communications planning and strategy; Targeting of different alumni segments for disseminating information; Creation of communications for some applications; Collaboration with external partners.

Compensation:

INR 1200000.00 - 1350000.00 Per Annum
