Officer - Accounts
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accounting Operations:
- Accurate scanning and tracking of vendor invoices in the tractor system.
- Timely scrutiny of General Ledger entries with a focus on GST and TDS compliance.
- Correct GST input credit validation and reconciliation.
- Coordination with KPMG for invoice booking, travel expense processing, and monthly closing.
- Providing accurate expense provisioning data for monthly financial closure.
- Statutory Compliance GST
- Preparation and timely filing of GSTR1 and GSTR3B returns with required workings and reconciliations.
- Completion of GSTR2B reconciliation with purchase register.
- Preparation and support for annual GST return (GSTR9).
- Documentation and coordination for GST departmental audits.
- Audit Support
- Statutory Audit: Coordinating and supporting statutory auditors for the South region.
- Preparing schedules, reconciliations, and statements required for Schedule VI financials.
- Providing notes to accounts and supporting documents as required.
- Internal Audit: Coordinating with internal auditors and ensuring timely submission of samples and documents.
- ICS Audit: Preparation and maintenance of ICS documentation for the South region.
- Other Government Audits : Supporting audits by departments such as Provident Fund, Professional Tax, etc.
Required Education, Experience, And Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree, with at least 4 years of experience in accounting.
- MBA will be an added advantage.
- Good command of English, spoken and written.
- Digitally proficient (working with Microsoft office, publishing and graphical design tools, video editing, and content management systems) is an advantage.
