Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Odoo Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) with 5+ years of hands-on experience in end-to-end Odoo implementations across multiple industries and geographies.

The ideal candidate will possess deep functional expertise across core Odoo modules, strong business process consulting capability, and experience handling global clients with multi-company, multi-currency, and multi-localization requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Process Consulting

  • Conduct discovery workshops with global stakeholders.
  • Analyze current business processes and perform GAP Analysis and solutioning.
  • Design scalable ERP solutions aligned with international best practices.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specification Documents (FSD).

2. End-to-End Odoo Implementation

  • Lead full implementation lifecycle: Requirement Configuration UAT Go-Live Hypercare Support.
  • Configure Odoo modules according to business needs.
  • Define workflows, approval matrices, automation rules, and reporting frameworks.
  • Support data migration and system integrations.
  • Coordinate closely with technical and integration teams.

3. Functional Expertise Across Core Modules

Strong hands-on experience in:

  • Finance & Accounting (Multi-Currency, Tax Structures, Reconciliation, Financial Reporting)
  • Sales & CRM
  • Purchase
  • Inventory & Warehouse Management
  • Manufacturing (MRP, BoM, Routing, Work Centers)
  • Quality & Maintenance
  • PLM, etc.

4. Client Engagement & Leadership

  • Act as Functional Lead in client projects.
  • Conduct global user training and workshops.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations across time zones.

6. Continuous Improvement & Support

  • Provide post-go-live optimization support including hypercare support.
  • Identify automation opportunities using Odoo best practices.
  • Recommend process enhancements for operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Odoo functional experience.
  • End to End Odoo implementations.
  • Strong cross-functional business knowledge (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, HR).
  • Experience in multi-company and multi-currency environments.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with global teams and different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Odoo Enterprise features.
  • Functional knowledge of Odoo Studio.
  • Basic understanding of technical architecture and integrations (APIs).
  • Experience in international rollouts.
  • Background in Finance, Operations, or Business Administration.
