Position Summary
Drive observability and automation outcomes across enterprise environments by supporting strategic initiatives focused on infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational reliability. This role will help manage Chef-based configuration automation, expand Dynatrace onboarding and visibility, and improve system performance through proactive monitoring and remediation. The Observability and Automation Analyst will also support Linux and Windows environments, contribute to service stability, and help advance self-healing and compliant infrastructure operations.
Work you'll do
As an Observability and Automation Analyst on the Technology & Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for:
- Support observability and automation initiatives across enterprise applications, infrastructure, and services using Chef and Dynatrace.
- Write, test, and maintain Chef cookbooks, Chef InSpec profiles, and automation scripts to support provisioning, configuration, compliance, and deployment activities.
- Onboard new and existing applications into Dynatrace, build dashboards, configure alerting, and analyze metrics, logs, and traces to improve visibility and incident response.
- Administer Linux and Windows server environments, troubleshoot operating system and application performance issues, and support capacity and performance analysis activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, project teams, and change forums to improve operational processes, support service onboarding, and help reduce manual intervention through automation.

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM / 2 PM to 11 PM IST or as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of experience with configuration management tools, including Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack
- 1+ years of experience with Linux and Windows systems administration or development
- Experience writing and maintaining automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, or Ruby
- Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration automation across enterprise environments
- Experience with observability platforms, including Dynatrace, for monitoring, alerting, dashboarding, and root cause analysis
- Experience working in collaborative coding environments, including peer review and continuous integration
Preferred:
- Experience managing Chef cookbooks, recipes, and Chef InSpec profiles
- Experience integrating automation with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in distributed teams across multiple time zones
- Experience with observability data types, including metrics, logs, and traces
- Experience building dashboards for technical and business stakeholders
- Experience with Python, Java, Go, or Ruby
