O&M Engineer (Solar)

About the role

Rezeca Renewables is a Singapore-based solar developer with over 1,500 PV systems delivered since 2009. We are looking for an O&M Engineer to safeguard the performance and availability of our installed portfolio. This is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for monitoring system performance, diagnosing and resolving faults, executing preventive and corrective maintenance, and keeping asset owners informed through clear performance reporting. You will be the technical owner of fleet uptime and the primary point of contact for maintenance issues.

Key responsibilities

. Monitor portfolio performance through inverter and monitoring platforms, proactively detecting underperformance, faults and communication outages.

. Diagnose and resolve technical issues across inverters, strings, isolators, cabling and monitoring/communications equipment, on site and remotely.

. Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules across the installed base, including inspections, cleaning verification and electrical testing.

. Respond to corrective and emergency maintenance within agreed service-level timeframes, minimising downtime and lost generation.

. Carry out field testing - visual and electrical inspections, IR thermography and I-V curve tracing - to identify and pre-empt module, string and BOS issues.

. Supervise and coordinate maintenance technicians and subcontractors, including scheduling, workmanship inspection and site safety oversight.

. Analyse system performance (performance ratio, specific yield, availability) and prepare periodic generation and performance reports for asset owners and PPA/rental clients.

. Manage warranty and RMA claims for modules, inverters and balance-of-system components, and maintain records of faults and resolutions.

. Maintain spare-parts inventory and test equipment, and support generation reconciliation and billing where required.

. Ensure WSH compliance for all maintenance activities, including work-at-height, permit-to-work and risk assessments.

Requirements

. Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Renewable Energy Engineering (or related discipline).

. 2-4 years of O&M, field service or M&E experience, ideally in solar PV. Strong fresh graduates with relevant internships may be considered at a junior level.

. Sound understanding of PV systems, inverters and monitoring, with strong hands-on electrical fault-finding skills.

. Working knowledge of Singapore codes and requirements - e.g. SS 638 / CP5, EMA framework, WSH and work-at-height.

. Comfortable travelling to sites across Singapore.

. Competent in data analysis and reporting (e.g. Excel) to interpret performance data and produce client reports.

Good to have

. Familiarity with major inverter brands and monitoring platforms (Fronius, Huawei, SMA, Sungrow).

. Hands-on experience with IR thermography and I-V curve testing.

. Experience preparing client-facing performance reports under O&M or PPA contracts.
