Job Description

  • Lead and manage procurement activities supporting Operations & Maintenance for renewable energy assets.
  • Execute end-to-end procurement for Solar and Wind O&M requirements, including spares, consumables, and service contracts.
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for MRO materials to ensure asset availability and minimize downtime.
  • Manage supplier prequalification, RFQs/RFPs, techno-commercial evaluations, negotiations, and contract finalization in line with company policies.
  • Negotiate and administer AMCs, LTSAs, SLAs, service contracts, and framework agreements to ensure cost efficiency and service reliability.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen a robust vendor base drive vendor development and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with O&M, Engineering, Planning, Finance, and HSE teams to forecast demand and manage critical spares inventory.
  • Monitor supplier KPIs, delivery timelines, quality performance, and contractual compliance implement corrective actions as required.
  • Conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction, value engineering, and procurement optimization.
  • Ensure adherence to HSE standards, quality requirements, statutory regulations, and corporate governance policies.
  • Support audits and internal controls related to procurement and contracts.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) from a reputed institution
  • 15+ years of experience in procurement, with significant exposure to O&M procurement
  • Experience in Solar and Wind energy sector preferred
  • Strong knowledge of O&M procurement for renewable energy assets
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing and vendor management
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and administration
  • Strong understanding of spares, MRO, and critical equipment management
  • Cost optimization, value engineering, and spend analysis capability
  • Knowledge of HSE, compliance, and governance frameworks
  • Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • ERP systems: SAP MM
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Contract management and spend analysis tools
  • Align it to a specific company or EPC/O&M model
