NURSING STAFF

Job Purpose

To provide quality nursing care and first-response medical support to students, faculty, staff and campus residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, basic assessment and first aid to patients visiting the Health Centre.
• Assist the RMO/Medical Officer in consultation, treatment and emergency management.
• Administer medicines, injections, dressings and other procedures as prescribed.
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient condition and escalate concerns promptly.
• Attend to campus medical emergencies and coordinate ambulance/referral services when required.
• Maintain accurate patient records, nursing notes and medical documentation.
• Maintain and monitor medicines, emergency supplies and medical equipment.
• Ensure proper hygiene, infection-control and safety practices within the Health Centre.
• Support health check-ups, vaccination drives, health awareness and wellness programmes.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, professional ethics and compassionate patient care.

Qualification & Experience

• GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) from a recognised institution.
• Valid registration with the State Nursing Council / INC as applicable.
• Prior hospital/clinic/institutional nursing experience preferred.
• BLS certification desirable.

Working Requirement: Shift/on-call duties as per roster. Campus accommodation is mandatory.
