NSX-T Admin Engineer II

The role focuses on administering and managing cloud environments, implementing automation, DevOps best practices, and ensuring cost-efficient, scalable, and secure cloud solutions across multiple cloud providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish standardized and reusable cloud-based application architectures for enterprise and application teams.
• Build and maintain cross-cloud resource visibility, automated governance, and policy enforcement solutions.
• Define best practices and standards normalized across all cloud platforms.
• Enable automated resource provisioning at scale and promote DevOps best practices.
• Design and execute migrations of complex, multi-tier applications to public and hybrid cloud environments.
• Manage cloud deployments ensuring compliance with security, availability, and performance standards.
• Collaborate with application teams to identify and implement optimal cloud solutions.
• Train teams on new cloud initiatives, services, and architectures.
• Build geographically redundant services and ensure high availability for cloud applications.
• Implement cost control strategies, monitor cloud usage, and drive efficiency improvements.
• Maintain data integrity by implementing proper access controls and governance for cloud services.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 68 years of IT experience, preferably with exposure to cloud administration, DevOps, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with multiple public cloud providers, hybrid cloud, and large-scale governance.
• Strong infrastructure automation expertise using Terraform, Packer, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure ARM.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Exposure to DevOps tools including Puppet, Jenkins, Git, Docker, and JIRA.
• Hands-on experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP) and cloud security practices.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, including Postgres and cloud-native data stores.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and cloud migration strategies.
• Understanding of cloud financial models, cost estimation, and operational cost control mechanisms.
